Leave clean,
no strings.
You can delete your FortifyMe account from inside the app, or from this page. Either way, your data goes.
From the app
- Open FortifyMe.
- Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm with your password.
That's the whole flow. No retention dark patterns, no "are you sure" loops.
Request deletion via email
You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@fortifyme.app from the address on your account — no app required. We'll confirm with a one-time deletion link sent to that address and process the request within 5 business days.
Same path applies if you've lost access to the app or your password and can't get a reset email through.
What gets deleted
Immediately, when you confirm:
- Your email, username, date of birth, and any social sign-in IDs are stripped from the account.
- You're signed out on every device.
- Your community posts and partner messages are hidden from other users.
- Your push notifications stop.
After 90 days, the underlying rows — check-ins, journal, identity work, scores, logs, posts, messages — are permanently purged from our database and backups.
Why 90 days?
Two reasons: it gives you a window to change your mind (email us and we'll restore), and it lets us defend against fraud or abuse reports tied to a closed account. After the window closes, the rows are gone for good.
Your subscription
Deleting your FortifyMe account does not cancel a Pro subscription billed by Apple or Google. Cancel that separately:
- iOS: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → FortifyMe → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → FortifyMe → Cancel.
Take your data with you
Before deleting, open Settings → Data → Download my data. You'll get a JSON file with everything we have on you.
